China Special Work Visa – Chinese Cuisine Chef

Chinese Cuisine Chef Work Visa Approved for 3 Years

Region:
China
Duration:
5 weeks
Published:
22 July 2026
The applicant had extensive experience in Chinese cuisine and intended to work in New Zealand as a Chinese Cuisine Chef. To support the application, we carefully reviewed her professional background and prepared a complete set of evidence demonstrating that she had the skills and experience required for the position. A key part of the application was her Level 3 / Advanced Occupational Skills Certificate in Chinese Cuisine. We also organised supporting documents relating to her previous employment, practical cooking experience and the genuine job opportunity offered by the New Zealand employer. For this visa category, it is not sufficient to provide only a chef certificate. Immigration New Zealand may assess whether the applicant’s qualifications, employment history, practical skills and proposed position are consistent with one another. We therefore ensured that the documents formed a clear and credible evidence chain. The applicant’s occupational background was presented accurately, and the supporting materials clearly demonstrated her ability to perform the duties of a Chinese Cuisine Chef. The application was submitted on 11 December 2025 and approved on 16 January 2026. The applicant was granted a multiple-entry work visa valid for 36 months from her first arrival in New Zealand, allowing her to work as a Chinese Cuisine Chef for the specified employer in Auckland. This case demonstrates the importance of correctly identifying the appropriate visa category and preparing detailed, consistent and verifiable professional evidence.
